The President Rafael Correa knew the infrastructure during his stay in Salinas in July, 18 of 2008.

The Women of Texal were sewing a sweater for him. In the chocolate factory he has enjoyed the filled chocolates and Turrones of Salinas. Also don´t miss were the delicate cheese. Of course he visited the Woolfactory. He was really lucky about to spend the day with them. He said, it is a wonderful place to spend more time, like a weekend or some days. The President is really interested to be in contact with the nation. He was also impressed about the landscapes around Salinas.
